Is it normal for my son to dress gay?

I have a 9 year old son that his mother and I (divorced) dont see eye to eye on how he should dress. She lets him wear really gay clothing- sometimes some of his sisters clothes. And when I say gay- I mean like REALLY? Today he showed up with some skin tight mulit colored tights on that were his "pj's" and gets out of her car and I was slap embarassed. I of course say something and he goes crying to his mother which inturn she bitches me out for "calling your son gay" which is not what happened, I told him what he had on was very gay looking. I believe she lets him dress like this just to spite me and make me look bad for saying somethign to him. What should I do- is it normal for boys to not mind dressing like that? I wouldnt have been caught dead in that shit.

    This sounds more like an issue between you and his mother. Don't drag him into it and as for the way he dresses? Let him wear whatever he wants.

    The person above me is a horrible, terrible person. I'm a gay teenager, and I play hardcore paintball, videogames, drink beer, and play football. The person above just sickens me, I'm glad his kind is dying out as more people realize that it's ok to be different. Being gay is a genetic thing, not an agenda or state of mind. Being a bigot however, is.

      Technically, being gay is not a genetic thing, but is close enough to being genetic that it might as well be. Just in case you come up to an asshole like me who's really picky about this kind of thing, make sure to arm yourself.

    It's normal for boys his age to not care about that. You should be a shining example to him. How can you possibly plan to make an impact in his life if your making him cry. You need to think more of your son and less of yourself. You're not a good father because you don't beat your son, you can be a true father by genuinely being there for your son and caring for him.

    Let him wear what he wants. If he is gay, and you have a problem with it then you are a real ass. But he probably isn't, it is probably just a phase. Loads of hetrosexual kids go through it.

    Even if you are a bit homophobic you should jut let ur son wear wat he wants to wear! And if it turns that he IS gay in the future, that could be a really big thing for him to go through.

    In short-just support ur son no matter what. I know wat it's like to have a dickhead for a father......and u do not want ur kid to have that. Trust me

    A lot of your sentences start with "I". One starts with "she" and none at all start with your son. I'm not a parent but, if I was, all of my sentences would start with my kids.

    "Gay looking" "Gay clothing". People don't dress like they are homosexuals. Sexuality doesn't have a specific code of dress. You are a dickheaded asshole. Parents should let their kids be who they want to be and dress how they want to dress instead of putting such ignorant labels on them.

    It is so normal. I think you should know better. If you're son looks happy, then he is most likely to be happy and if that means dressing up in "gay" clothing then that should be fine.

    its not bad behaivior. hes 9. he's probably just dressing up cos thats what kids do. or maybe he is gay, and theres nothing wrong with that. you should be supporting his desisions and let him be an individual rather than insulting him and trying to change who he is.

    You need to discern the situation a little better. It does not matter if your son is gay or not. Is it appropriate that my son is dressing like this? Inappropriate? You should not be thinking about that just yet either. You are worried about wife using your as a tool to get to you emotionally and your going to keep worrying until you find out. While your at it, I would suggest having your son figure out what he really wants when he is a teenager. He is currently at an age where he does not really know what he likes too well. So talk to him and find out how your son feels.

      How is it inappropriate? He's a kid. Do you really want your son growing up with a complex and the belief that he can't be himself for fear of disappointing you? Why would you want him to have psychological issues as a result of something you caused? Let him wear the clothes he wants.
