Is it normal for my mom/dad to take me to get a haircut and pay at age 17?
Or should I be going alone? IIN?

Or should I be going alone? IIN?
What's wrong with having loving parents?
When I was 17 I was couch surfing cause my parents left me to fend for myself.
I'd be more than grateful to have them pay for my haircut!
It'd be awesome whether its normal or not!
Yeah, I have a cousin right now that is 15 and his hair looks like a fucking mop because that's the style that he wants. His parents are well-to-do and he looks like a fucking hobo.
LOL nothing. I understand the look that he is going for but he never showers or washes his hair and he is fat as hell. It looks like a horribly failed punk rocker look. I'd tell him how big of a fail his shaggy head is but he has depression or some shit like that and it'll make him cry.
He's the reason why people think that there is no hope for the next generation. Coddled and soft, no resilience whatsoever.
End rant :D
Lol wow, you seem to know a lot about me from this question. I'm the one that decided to cut my hair, my dad is a 60s guy that thinks I should keep it really long but is fine with me cutting it if I want.
I ended up going with my brother anyways.
Oh, so like a punk-hipster or some shit?
Oh, and he's obese? Nevermind then, he automatically sounds fucktarded.
I think its quite normal.
Looking back when I was 17, pretty sure my Mom was there when I had a haircut too.
17 is still young. Heck 21 is still young.
btw Howmany 17yo's go to the dentist without their parent there? You still get driven around by your parents and you still live at home. Of course your Mom (or Dad) will be there when you have a haircut. No ones going to touch their baby until they give the all clear! Plus you trust your parents will say NO don't cut there! Whereas a 17yo may be a bit too shy to say anything, until after its too late.
Anyway just buy clippers and cut it all off!
I did everything by myself when I was 16 and got my hair cut short and get my teath done so ya people can be independate
Wow.
Generally 16yos don't own houses or have a mortgage.
Plus they are too young to solely hold the lease of tenancy on a rental!
Bills, amenities, again are via adult contract (gas, electricity, water, phone, etc.)!
Traveling around ie Grocery shopping, etc, is a tad difficult just on a bus!
Owning white goods, utensils, and furniture and many other things must mean you're rich at 16!
Money and savings and even tax, plus saving for holidays and those out of the ordinary times, is hard!
The responsibility of being totally independent for your life at 16 is remarkable!
Making ALL meals everyday plus cleaning, and disinfecting and maintenance on your property, WHILST either going to school or working or both! Must be a big strain on your independence!
Wow, only 16 with all this responsibility (and MUCH more). You must be thinking of having kids of your own soon? Please note, its MUCH MORE work ontop of ALL that independence WORK you have already.
'Independence' is NOT just getting your haircut and keeping dental appointments.
Independence means not depending on anyone and fully taking care of yourself and usually others as well (since you are so independent people start relying on YOU more)
All this and 16?
Its ironic, but I feel I didn't really mature until 25, and I moved out and became 'independent' at age 18!!
I lived with my parents had an rx8 and I payd for still a lot of stuff I paid the rent all of it my parents paid the rest I know good jobs I was hard working ps when I turned 20 I had a 2 story house with a pool and I live there with my gf well we go through collage so ya Im indapendant ive worked hard sense I was 5 I can handle myself
Lucky.
I had my hair cut at home most of my life until I went to uni, and since then I've been trying really hard to find a hairdressers I like. I've always paid out of my own money.
I think I've found the one, but I last went to see her in February and I could do with going back there to get my hair neatened up soon.
Your parent prolly got sick of people asking why theres a homeless person following them. Just give em change and thell go away they say. And thus your haircut.
Nada normal I did stuff i wanted at 16 if you don't know your hair or anything like that let your parents do this stuff
Yeah, I think it's normal, my mom does that. Since my brother is still young we get hair cuts at the same time. :3 Would you rather be paying yourself?
I went to the dentist a couple of months ago and I had my mum and dad in there I'm the last born so they fuss over me a lot, I was a bit embarrassed. I'm 20 by the way.
Well as long as there not giving you kisses or picking out your haircut I guess its ok.
Hey 17? Your not old enough to use this site;)
