Is it normal for my jawbone to hurt 1/2 years after wisdom tooth removal?

2 years ago, I had my bottom wisdom teeth out because they were growing at an odd angle and impacted.

I remember that when I had one of the out, it was so hard to remove that the dentist who was pulling the tooth needed someone else to hold my head still (I wasn't moving it, but the pulling of the pliers was moving my head).
I didn't have any broken bones and - as far as I'm concerned - I've healed perfectly fine and I either don't have top ones or they don't pose any difficulties for me.

However, I have noticed that sometimes one or both of my jaws hurts slightly on the inside and it goes away after a few days. I don't think I make any real changes to what I eat/my oral care.

What prompted me to ask this question is that (since tonight) I've found that the middle of my left jaw hurts if I lean on it too hard or in a certain way.

I'm - hopefully - on Jobseekers' Allowance and I have no idea of NHS costs (I can't afford to go private myself and I don't know if daddy can afford to pay for me to go private). I know good dental care costs money, but the last thing I want is to be ripped off.

Advice please?
