Is it normal for my gf to get mad that im in phusical pain?

Had these debilitating headaches for the last 4 or 5 months. Everytime I'm curled up on the couch wanting to literally die she tells me to "shut the fuck up, you are so annoying". She thinks I'm faking it to get out of taking her places or whatever. Its like she is pissed off that I'm hurting. I don't understand. She says its because she feels helpless to do anything, but that doesn't give someone the right to be so downright mean to someone in such pain. Especially someone ur supposed to care about...

She sounds like an insensitive bitch, why you would stay with anyone who is this flat out mean is beyond me.

This should be a sign of other bad things to come. She needs to be busted in the lip for mouthing off.

I'd get pretty tired of some cry baby laying about on the couch for 4 or 5 months complaining, instead of going to a doctor and trying to do something about it. If you are willing to hurt that much, yet do nothing to alleviate the problem, then I agree with her 100%, you are faking it for whatever reason and, "shut the fuck up, you are so annoying".

A pity this is thumbed down. A very valid and different perspective to the issue

Yeah I have been to doctors and specialists and surgeons and all kinds of shit. I'm taking tons of different pills. Nothing they do works. I've been to the hospital more times in the last few months more than I have in my entire life. Aparantly it's TMD a nervous stress related condition. Just coincidence that it started like a month after I started dating this woman?

Interesting that you put none of this in your OP. Don't you think it would have made a HUGE difference in how we viewed you?

Some people just truly lack sympathy for others, she probably has to the center of attention when shes ill right?

The words "red flag" come to mind after reading your post. If she's that awful to you when you're in pain, it's probably time you dump her before things get worse.

You know, people are quick to say things like "go see a doctor" because their country might provide spectacular health care, but seing as I live in South Africa, I know what its like for it to be almost impossible to go see a doctor.

Anyway, you should atleast try to see a state doctor, like one who doesn't charge, specifically for the financially challegened? I make use of this service as much as possible.

Anyway, she should not be so mean to you. As pansey ass as it sounds, a guy laying on the couch groaning in pain for god knows how many hours, she's still your girlfriend and is meant to care for you.

She should be asking you how she can help, not telling you to shut up. Luckily, my boyfriend has been working as an engineer since he was 18, so for the past 6 years. He's used to aches, pains, cuts, bruises and burns from work. Most of the time he is less concerned about this than I am, and he never bitches and moans about it. Still, if he complained something was wrong, I would get my ass up to the medicine drawer and see what I could give him to help.

I've been trying to get a doctor to prescribe me some adequate pain killers the whole time so I can wether the symptoms while I figure out what's actually the problem and they just won't do it. It's starting to really piss me off, it's like the doctors think I'm faking it too. God damn, I wouldn't be aski for something as weak as a Tylenol 3 if I were a druggie or dealer or something... Even the stronger NSAIDs that work through IM they won't do. I'm convinced they want people sick so they have to keep coming back and paying bills.
