Is it normal for men to be more interested in women in girly colours than someone who is dressed all in black? Is it normal that wearing all black is off-putting to men?

My friend dresses in pinks, light blues and pastel colours - whenever we go out, she gets lots of attention. I dress all in black and no-one shows an interest in me but when I dressed head to toe in pink (cancer support), I would get lots of attention and guys would approach me a lot even in just one day.

It might be a case of seeming to be more approachable but I don't think that can explain everything. Are guys put off by black, even without meaning to be?

    I dunno, maybe black is off putting in that it may cause one to appear intimidating or less approachable. Wear what you like though, be yourself! I not a fan of the concept of changing one's self for the purpose of being accepted by others.

    Most women wear black because they think they look better.., maybe you're just the more attractive one.

    To be honest, I would say I'd be less attracted to someone in all black unless it was a unique style they had.

    If this is true then it's quite an eye opener for me. My wardrobe is almost entirely black. I mainly just get hit on at work (when I'm dressed in bright blue) so that could have something to do with it.
