So my best friend and I have been friends for almost three years now, and we know EVERYTHING about each other. He is the most amazing person in my life but I constantly feel like he doesn't really care about me and when we go to college he'll just ditch me. I am often kept awake at night crying because I'm so worried he actually hates me.
This thing happened to me, and some weeks later my best friend "betrayed" me and started to treat me like shit. But we we're best friends for 5 years, and I would never expect him to do that.
Because of that, I no longer trust my friendships 100%. He made me suffer a lot from humilliation. A person that I would never expect this kind of things threw me to the trash. I'm now a "pessimist" about trusting people.
It doesn't mean I don't have friends: I had more friends from then and still have many. I just never had another friend with this level of "trustness".
My advice is this: even if you think he hates you, ignore your thoughts. I would give everything to have another best friend like I had. If you like him a lot, don't worry about anything.
Spend quality time with him. Make your moments memorable. Just be happy :)
If there's little to no evidence of him hating you, there's no reason to worry about it.
What proof do you have that this is the case? Has his behaviour changed?
You really should talk to him about it. Everything we do such as our body language, words, and actions do not always go one way. What you think is him ditching you can be something completely different in his eyes. So to just be on the same page as him you have to have the courage to talk to him about it.
Plus you never know if he just rushes to class so he can get to his favorite seat in time before its taken. I know I do that. ;)
