Is it normal for it to itch and burn when you trim or shave pubic hair?

Is it normal for it to itch and burn when you trim or shave pubic hair? I have stopped trying to trim or shave my pubic hair because it itches and burns when I trim or shave. I just leave my pubic hair as it is. Is it normal for itch and burn when you trim or shave AND is it normal to leave your hair natural there (You see so many pictures of women with no hair their ie: in playboy... I'm wondering if it's normal to have pubic hair these days)?

That's your body telling you to keep the hair.

I had same problem when I first started. Try using a gentle shave cream. If you wear cotton panties and you might have to use a anti-biotic salve and the use a single edge razor once all hair is gone. Less friction. Shaving at night gives the skin time to heal before putting on jeans or being in the heat. I now get waxed. I get my brazillian wax and pull. lol once a month and take it from me. It will make you feel sexy. And makes masturbating much more toy friendly.

Why bother with all that carry on. Just what ALL woman had before all this nonsense about shaving their bush off. Before about 1990 hardly any women did that, the ALL had long thick pubic hair, still most just leave it alone, its just a lot of hipe from all those shavong and razor componies

Yes. Pubic hair is there for a reason. Women do not need to shave to be sexy and men should not expect it.

I do not mind some hair down there. You can trim the bikini line or not at all. My girlfriend is shy if she doesn't trim every week and I tell her that I like a little hair. I do not need her looking like a prepubescent girl all the time.

I've been shaving the whole area for almost two years now and the itching and redness does go away, although you do have to moisturize a lot and keep your razor clean and dry if you use one.

  • Yeah that used to be me. I use cream now to get rid of mine. Its probably not the best way though. Also having pubic hair is normal, when its completely clean shaven it looks weird to me.
