Is it normal for infatuation to last this long?
Some people say they're in love, some recognize they are just infatuated, and others have no idea where they stand. I knew it was infatuation when I first met the guy I am talking to. I would say "omg I am in love" but just cause yeah I was really into him and infatuated and I recognized it. As months went by, we got "closer" and we looked like an item to other people yet we weren't officially together in both of our books. Its actually pretty irritating when I tell people that we have been talking for almost a year and they look down at me because they expect him to make the move since typically the guy is supposed to ask the girl out and make the final decision. So I just look like the loser girl waiting around for him to ask me out. No, its def not like that. We both don't want a relationship because we are in the middle of investing on ourselves first but we like each other's company. However, where I do stand confused is feelings wise. I am crazy about him but its been a year. Plus he has given me a pretty rough time all these months, so many ups and downs, and I still cling to him because I just have so much faith in us that no matter how long we keep talking, we will end up being together. Like I said, we got closer since the first time we met and its going to be a year and I still feel the same crazyness about him but is it still infatuation? Or has it grown to more than that? I mean, considering how many times he's hurt me (not really intentionally but just his clueless behavior) idk if it might just still be infatuation. Can you be infatuated with someone for so long?
