Is it normal for guys to be self-conscious of their hair?

I'm a guy and I care a lot about how my hair appears. I care how it's styled, cut, and how it looks on me. Most guys have pretty basic hairstyles that are simple but I'm still conscious of how mine is. Do guys really care how their hair looks?

    Based on the number of men who try to cover up the fact that they are going bald, I'd say that it's normal for men to be conscious of their hair.

    I don't really care about my hair. Whatever it looks like when I get out of bed is how it stays the whole day.

    Yes, it's normal. Organising one's hair to look appropriate is indeed an arduous and time consuming task.
