Is it normal for f friend and i to discuss marriage when we're not even dating?

I live in Ohio, and my best friend lives in Illinois. I'm male, and she's female. We courted for a couple months a year ago, but ended up breaking things off because things got too intense (She's very Christian, so no sex.). We kissed a lot, I felt her up, etc. We're still best friends. We talk every day for several hours, but we're not a couple. We both have Asperger's Syndrome. Anyways, we have found ourselves discussing the possibility of marriage someday. How many kids we'd have, etc. Did I miss something? Isn't there supposed to be another step in there? We have admitted to each other that we love each other intensely, but she has no intention of starting a relationship with me anytime soon, because we're still in college. But, she wants me to move to Illinois after school, so we can give everything another try.

Is it normal for us to discuss marriage and kids when we aren't even dating?

Sounds like she made a plan after school. And you are apart of that plan. ;)

That was my thought. I mean,we are a perfect match. I look foreward to talking to her everyday, and we plan on seeing each other every 6 months until we finish school.
