Many that I've had run-ins with have tattoos all over their arms. Some even on their necks. Is this normal, or only where I live?
I see nothing wrong here.Getting tatts and your proffesion are two diffrent things mate.I'm a lawyer and i have a chest-arm polynesian tatoo.Though i keep it covered at the office or any work related event.
They are no different than anyone else except they will run into danger to save your ass instead of running away from it like most everyone else. You didn't see Joe Blow car salesman running into the Twin Towers on 9-11 to save people but you did see cops and fire fighters doing it. Some for the very last time.
Tatoos in general are really not that uncommon these days, anyone can have them. A lot of cops are also former military and it is pretty common for soldiers to get tatoos.
