Is it normal for an introvert to like socializing?

I love being around my friends and talking to new people(as long as we have a common interest). I often seek out new social situations and have a good time. Some people don't believe I'm introverted because of this. They don't realize that by the time it's all over, my social battery is drained and I need extra sleep and solitude the following night to recover.

Yes. As usual introverts are mistaken for antisocials which is a huge misconception.
Lots of introverts love to socialize. The only difference from extroverts is that introverts recharge by being alone and gets drained from socializing. Even if it drains your energy you can still enjoy it while it lasts, especially if it's with a few or one close friend.

  • I always assumed people were generally like this. I can barely hold interest in someone for a hour without needing to go into some sort of month long hibernation.
