Is it normal for a woman to pose in seductive poses for men at parties?

She comes to get-togethers at our house with a mutual friend. First she finds the best lighting, and sits in the same chair all night.. She wears low cut, tight seductive clothes and mini skirts. She has boobs, but a thick waist, not the best body, but I think she thinks its sexy. She also has a huge head of dyed blonde 1980's hair that looks ridiculous (she is older and is probably gray). I have written her off as a bimbo, because she talks loudly, without intelligence.

Heres the thing:
When we are all sitting talking with one another, she puts her hands on her head and starts playing with her hair like she is posing for playboy. I don't think she is very attractive, but there is always one man (who is with a woman alresdy) that responds to her, and stares and giggles at anything she says. I don't think she wants to be with them sexually, she just wants the men to like her more than the other women at the party.

She has done this at least 3 times, and it seems so subtle, some people don't really notice. However the men def respond. This hurts the woman they are with. Should I confront her and say something like "Are you trying to pose for these men?" or "Are you trying to get attention?"

Don't confront her. She's not behaving in a particularly offensive way, and the fact that some men respond positively to her behaviour suggests it isn't all that unwelcome. Actually, it's the men hurting the women they are with, not this woman - the men needn't take the bate.

I think you just have to deal with it if you want your mutual friend to come.

As to the normality, I doubt it's that normal to feel the need to draw every man in the room's attention using your body at any opportunity.

I would like to pose the notion that you are misinterpreting the events, though. Is it a definite she has this motive of wanting men to "like her more than the other women at the party?" Isn't it possible she behaves like this without any motive; that she wears those clothes because she thinks she looks good in them, that she sits in a chair that's available without considering the light, that she plays with her hair out of habit - like people play with their hands or jiggle their leg, that she doesn't intend to draw male attention but does so inadvertently? Just a thought.

She's not getting enough attention at home, so she seeks to get it elsewhere. Women who have low self-esteem may do this. Then again, women who are addicted to attention will do the same.

My wife loves attention and compliments so she wears seductive clothes when out and naked at home. So she poses for or with the guys and gets what she wants.......ATTENTION..........I love when she poses and teases the guys with her antics and I encourage and condone her teasing...

Just another girl on the make.

She'll slip up soon and have a bit of a crush on someone she's playing with.
If we're all really lucky, he'll be a bit of a go-getter but not call her after the event.

I find women who do this very cringey.
But anyhow, you say get togethers at your house. If its your house, don't let her in! If she's bringing the mood down, causing tension, seeking attention then no longer welcome her on your property.
