Is it normal for a six-year-old boy to watch a woman use a public toilet?

I chose a doorless stall while at our city auditorium because it was faster than waiting for one with a door. I'm seated, jeans and undees down to my knees, urinating when I look up and see a boy who looks like he's 6 standing there staring at me. I told him to go to his mother, who apparently was several stalls down, but did not contain him. He smirked when I started to get mad, left and then came back and glanced at me again when I heard a woman call out his name and he went running to her. When I reached for the toilet paper there was none, something that made me even madder.

It's normal for children to be curious. If you're trying to read something sexual in his behaviour, don't. He's a kid ffs. Don't piss in public if you can't handle being watched.

One time I was using a public restroom and I heard a woman go into a stall with her young (maybe 4 year old) son. All I hear is the poor boy asking her, "What are you doing?...What is that?.. What is THAT!?". lol he sounded so confused and worried and possibly traumatized.

I went into a public bathroom once, & there was a hole in the door, I looked up, & there was a little girl of about 8 peering through it at me. now that`s not normal for a girl that age to peer at someone of their own sex using the bathroom.

It's normal for little children to be curious. And aggravating.

That's why stalls usually have doors. Next time wait for one with a door!

He was probably just being a kid. Not a big deal. He probably thought it was funny that you were pissing in front of him.

A trade-off between saving a bursting bladder v. an unsupervised and voyeuristic 6-year-old who should have been with his mother!

It sounds like a bad dream, but then most people do not choose a stall without a door on purpose. If you do, you obviously aren't worried about who sees you, so don't complain.

  • 1) First, the mother was wrong for not forcing her son to remain in her stall; 2)The complaining woman should be cautious about having her undees and jeans pulled down to her knees when she has knowingly selected a doorless stall--mid-thigh level would have been much more modest; 3) who is the complaining woman to blame the young boy for there being no toilet paper on the roll to wipe with because it is her responsibility to check it ahead of time and many people including myself would have wanted to have wiped the seat down first and/or preferably placed toilet paper over the two sides of the seat before sitting on it; 4) finally, she should have been more firm with the boy in asking him to turn around and leave at once. NO boy, above age 3 or 4, should be in the restroom of the opposite sex EVER!

I think he was being a brat. Little kids like to do that. They do stuff they know will annoy people and run off like fools. I have had little kids do weird stuff like that too me in public places.

Yeah I don't think this is abnormal. Some little kids are just brats that want to bug people. Also parents a lot of time drag their child everywhere they go. Including public restrooms.

Why do you think they started making co-ed bathrooms? the reason parents do this is so they can supervise their children. You really think a 6 year old should be left running around by themselves outside the bathroom? They would most likely run off and the parents wouldn't be able to find them anymore.
