I think it's kinda weird. But my dog, Jethro Q. Walrustitty, says there's nothing wrong with it.

I've had vets refer to my cat as <CatName> <MyLastName> on appointment reminders. Thought it was a little weird but kind of cute.

I Tend to have pets with human names, growing up, I had a cat named Michael (Mikey for short), and I later had a dog named Joe. My sister had a cat named Fidel Castro, she picked him up in Cuba, Mo. Her friends kept asking how she was getting a cat from the nation of Cuba, for some reason at the time, they thought it was somehow coming into the from Cuba, instead of the town of Cuba, Mo. She named it after Castro to be funny.

Oh I do this all the time. Not to much a middle name but first and last. And they know when I use the full name they are in trouble.

I am a dog lover. I was raised with them and now own three as a middle aged family guy and my parents always gave our dogs regular human names like Sally, John, and so on so I do the same thing without really thinking about it. My most beloved dog of my entire life was a solid black Chihuahua named Kenny. I think you are normal as can be....

Surely its surname is the same as yours? I often call friends' pets by their name with the owner's surname.
