Is it normal for a persons syntax to suddenly change?

Apparently, my syntax has changed according to an old friend of mine. We had not spoken in a very long while and they say I speak differently now. I speak more precisely and very specific about things. I have recently been entirely cut off from most forms of human contact and become a bit of a hermit. I don't know if that has somewhat of a influence on it.

    Ooh, "syntax"!

What a jolly ostentatious exhibition of lexicon!

You can't really judge if the change is "sudden" if it's a friend you haven't seen for a very long time who tells you. Really the only way to be sure is if a family member or closer friend you see more often says the same thing.

If it's a gradual change, it's very normal.

You managed the adverb 'precisely' yet not 'specifically'.
Maybe work on vocabulary before worrying about syntax.

    • Syntax exists regardless of grammar.

Also I used both those words correctly. You should try looking them up.
