I'm female, I shaved my head, people seem really against it for some reason.

The reason I first shaved my head was because my hair was damaged and I wanted to start over.

Then I let it grow for a year.

Then I shaved it a second time because I wasn't used to hair anymore and it was making me hot, itchy and irritated.

I do like the look of long hair, as do other people, but I don't feel like I should be treated like shit just because I prefer to be bald.

    If it doesn't bother you, then carry on.
    I know I wouldn't care if you were my friend and shaved your head.
    Now if you shaved my head, that's a whole other story.

    I did it for years back in the 90's but I always kept a little fringe in the front. Now my hair is almost touching the ground..

    Some women pull it off. All you need is to have a pretty, feminine face and a smooth shaped head.

    It's your hair, do what you want with it. If someone else needs long "beautiful" hair to feel confident then that says more about them than you.

    I think some women can really pull it off actually, especially if they get it cut with shaved-in partings, patterns or a fade to make a statement that it really is a styling choice. Can look sick.

    I did it for charity event I raised £1.200 for cancer trust have to admit I quite liked it

    You're going to find people who frown upon it but at the end of the day, it's your body. You do what you want with it.

    However, you may find that you cut yourself off from a large chunk of people who may reconsider your attractiveness. If you don't care, then by all means, carry on.
