I've heard some guys do the same, but as a woman, I can't help but feel like a creep for this. It doesn't help that my crush also happens to be a woman, and she's not wearing anything revealing in these pictures too.
I suspect there could be a couple of reason why you don't hear about women doing what you do more often.
First, it's generally true that, when it comes to sexual arousal, guys tend to be visually-orientated, while women tend to be more about mood and atmosphere and communication.
Second, because it is seen as a "guy thing" to do, that may make women reluctant to admit that they do it.
FWIW, I'm a guy, and I've never needed to use a picture when I've masturbated and fantasised about a woman I know IRL. The video in my head has always been sufficient.
I don't think there's anything creepy about you doing this. It's not like it's having any real-world impact whatsoever on the woman, so in my book, it's a case of no harm, no foul.
