Is it normal for a girl to lead me on then pull out the rug at the last minute?
I talked to this girl online and texting like 5 times a day for a month, then we were scheduled to meet up today and it's all the sudden over. IIN? Why?

That happened to me. I was talking online with a girl from Texas and then one day she just stopped talking to me, with no explanation whatsoever. I felt pretty sad about that. She was married though.
Her real name is probably, Nobody13, and he lives in the basement of his mom's house and post stupid shit online because he has nothing else to do. After all he has a, "Master's in Freedom."
Ok, I'm having some resentment from my previous post.
Bottom line, ask yourself why they would drag you along for months just to abruptly change when you are going to meet. Obviously, they weren't who they pretended to be.
I'm truly sorry, man. People suck!
I can't believe all people suck, even if it were true, it would keep me away from life too much.
You are my favorite! :) Always great replies. If I could only show you somehow the anonymous threads you've helped me out on over this past year, I definitely would. Thanks for being positive! Also, see my bottom comment for an update!
The statement wasn't "All people suck," so why are you tacking it on? Of course not ALL people suck, but quite a few do.
Update: Turns out her grandma had a stroke yesterday and spent all day in the hospital. She sent me an extremely apologetic text and I accepted that, because she's been nothing but nice to me. Then, I took matters into my own hands and visited her during her work break for our first in person encounter. We laughed it off and hugged it out. Turns out I spoke too soon!
YaY!
:-)
Paws up for happy endings!
I know you have atheist in your name, but shoot Granny a prayer or two as a mitzvah.
;-)
Hang in there, brother.
Good for you! Still, be careful with online females. They always give mixed signals and will have a change of heart. Thats with any chick but women from online usually were online for a reason.
Yes. People online use you as comfort until they find what they want in real life.
Bitches are known flakes and you fucked up. Texting should be kept to a minimal when arranging a date with and online. Also a month is way too long after you already have her number smh. Live and learn.
I was trying to arrange a meeting from day 1. I know that it was a bad sign, but I'm fugly and only get a chance a year.
Come on,
Your profile says you have a JD degree, so I'm assuming you passed the bar and you are a lawyer. I take that your not a prosecutor, because you still believe there is good in people. Anyway, you must be intelligent and you seem like a nice guy, so let me give you some brotherly advice...stop referring to yourself a fugly. You will meet the right girl at the right time. I'm not saying they will come knock on your door, but you don't need to be so hard on yourself. Anyway try pof.com. it's free and it's easy to navigate. After my divorce, I was on it for a while and i met some nice women on it. One was a nurse, who would of turned into something, but after one date with the nurse, I met a cute teacher at one of the elementary schools and we hit it off. About a year later, the teacher and I were married. My point was that I met my (now) wife by chance and it has worked. It was when I least expected it. Let me tell you, I was no prize. I was overweight, divorced, with a new baby, and mounting debt. You probably understand the student loan crap, since you went to law school.
The website is "Plenty of Fish" or pof.com.
Remember be confident and fun.
She probably was just doing what someone recently did to her. She probay just wanted that ego boost of feeling like she's in control, even though it doesnt really help her at all since for all she knows you could have been a decent person she would have liked. Don't take it personally. Consider it a good thing that she is gone
