i m a 20 yr old girl and i LOVE rhcp, arctic monkeys, the song brianstorm n i njoy m big time, but none of the girls my age do, i think. i hate gaga's music, jonas bros, justin bieber or n'sync, or all that crappy music. i love punk rock, old punk bands n the clash etc. is it too tomboyish? although i do like regina spector, the call, samson etc.
is it normal to love n enjoy heavy metal n punk 4 a girl my age?

    Music should not have sex barriers. I went to a heavy metal festival a few weeks ago, and there was loads of girls there, at least 25%, and most of them were not just tagging along with their boyfriends or whatever. Lots more girls are into "guy music" than ever before, it is normal.

    Guy music my ass go to one of their concerts and you will find plenty of chicks. Plus rhcp and arctic monkeys? Sooo many chicks like them. I'm a chick and went to big 4 now I can see why someone would call that "guy music" But yea it's normal I'm exactly like you.

    There is no such thing called guy music.
    And don't think your unique, I know lots of girls that start listening to rock and punk when they are 14-15. My girlfriend listens to Metal-core, Death-core, and she is 16.

    heavy metal punk rock rap bip hop (only some hip hop) and country (only some country) is the types of music i like especially heavy metal and punk. :)

    Pretty much what everyone said, there's no guy or girl music. A lot of music may have more listeners of a particular sex but it doesn't make it his or hers. Just rock on, you silly girl
