Is it normal for a female to have sex with a man without consent?

Trigger Warning 'R Word'

Is it common for a female to rape a man?
This has happened to me twice. A post on this forum reminded me of it.
I will only dicuss the first time. I'll keep it short . I met a girl i knew but not well, we had spent the night together at a friends house a few months prior. That night we kissed and had mutual masterbation. It was understood it was not the start of a relationship , just a one off. I was a virgin.
About a year later, i hadn't seen her since, i bumped into her in a bar we went back to her mums house both of us had been drinking. We got into bed together and i fell asleep, i had been working out alot at the time and wasn't accustomed to drinking. I woke up and she was having sex with me . Ontop unprotected sex , i woke as it was a bit painful as she was pretty dry. I had an abrasion on my penis after. As i was waking up her sister came in , and before i could complain, told her to get off me. Her sister was heavily (without wanting to be) pregnant. She was saying to her sister"do you want to end up like this" .
I was a virgin.
I remember it well, in detail. It happened about 27 years ago.

I'm sure you're not the only guy this has ever happened to. I'm also sure that there are a lot of women who will insist that it's impossible.

It's normal for a healthy man to have anything up to five erections while he's asleep. Erections happen when a valve in a vein at the base of the penis relaxes, and this normally occurs during the deepest phases of sleep.

So, yeah, if a guy is naturally a sound-sleeper, and if drink or drugs are involved which puts him under even deeper, it's entirely possible for a woman to climb onboard and get his penis into her vagina before he wakes up enough to realise what's going on.

I've never had this happen to me and I have to say that I wouldn't have minded if it had. But then I've never shared a bed with a woman I wasn't already having regular, unprotected, penetrative sex with. The situation you describe is not the same as that. You didn't want it, and so it was definitely rape.

    • Thankyou for your reply . I don't know if i am.or was cross that i lost my virginity to what was , as you said rape, but it probably effected my dexual behaviour since. I became promiscuous, i would have sex with anyone who came on to me. I attracted women back in the day. I used a condom only once on a one night stand the rest were all unprotected, even on that occasion i used a condom on the night(at the womans request) but in the morning we had sex unprotected. Sorry I'm just remembering one other time where i used protection on the night and the next day.
I have been in long term relationships since and was married if my partner was on meds and her pill was ineffective i just wouldn't bother going after sex. Also if i met someone now who wanted a serious relationship and insisted our mode of contaception was condoms or femidoms i would not get involved.

    • Luckily you weren't a woman and she wasn't a man or that person would be on the sex offenders register at the very least.

I know its pretty crazy idk if times have just changed a lot or kids are just really reckless but I can think of a lot of iffy situations in my childhood that bordered on sexual assault or rape. I never thought it was a big deal at the time but by todays standards it sure sounds like it.

Ever seen the picture of the ww2 veteran coming home and grabbed that girl at time square for a kiss? Imagine that happening today! Lol

          Times have changed, dude.

It sometimes feels to me like there are lots of people these days who believe that every single step towards penetrative sex should be preceded by both parties signing a consent form which is witnessed and notarised.

Okay, so that's an exaggeration, but it's like loads of people believe it should be:

'Is it okay if I kiss your neck on the left side?'
          'Yes, I consent to that.'
'Is it okay if I do a little nibble on your earlobe?'
          'Yes, I consent to that.'
'May I put my hand on the right side of your right breast?'
          etc, etc, etc
