Is it normal for a complete stranger at your work to tell you to brush your..
teeth?
Mkay, right, so 5 years ago I worked at this place, not gonna reveal where. Anyway, I worked as a cashier chick, whatever. This older man(over 75) comes up to me to make a purchase and I'll never forget what he said to me.
"You have a pretty face, but you need a smile to match it."
So I was like, huh? Anyway, he then said, "Brushing your teeth will make that smile nice and white. No one can take away a smile but yourself. I'm not a philosopher, I'm just giving you an idea."
So of course I was younger at the time and my reaction was just to blink and say "ok, well I do brush" in a VERY hushed voice. I would have said something else, but 5 years back, I wasn't that sorta person.
Anyway, is that normal? First of all, my teeth weren't yellow, yellow. They were mildly yellow because they were stained because I always brush my teeth. Sure, sometimes I skipped a few days or even a week once or twice, but I did brush and that day he said that, I had brushed!!!
Now I have bright white teeth because I got them professionally whitened(had to, to remove the stains). My teeth are super healthy so I was very insulted back then and I constantly think about what he said every time I see my teeth go slightly lower in the shade of white, I freak out and bleach/brush them like crazy!
