Is it normal for a 20y/o female to caress and stick to a 12y/o male

So this beautiful, shy young lady joined this boarding school I'm in 1.5 months ago. She was really shy on the first few days here but now we can have conversations with her, although she doesn't talk much. About a month in, she starts getting really close and playful with this 12y/o chubby boy(she's the initiator). She calls him 'brother' and says that he's cute, and would sit beside him and caress him(around hair and face) CONSTANTLY. She would be using her phone with one hand and the other hand will be stroking the boy's hair while wrapping him in her arm. The boy is generally passive and pretends not to want her affection.

It gives me goosebumps whenever I see her fondling the boy like that, but still I'm not sure if that's normal because I have a crush on her.

Is it just that I'm envious or could it be that she's paedophilia?

Just imagine if she were a man, and the boy is a little girl. Also, are you sure the boy is pretending?

    • Yes. He would lean on her shoulder sometimes. I also saw him trying to interrupt a conversation which she was having with another boy.

Not everything has to be sexual. She could just be doing it because she likes him. In a friendly affectionate way.

Love and afection. Thata what I was thinking. But I thought most people graduate high school at 16-18. I didn't know you could be 20 still in school.

lol yea i think i was still in school at 19, i forget lol even though it wasnt that long ago haha

if its affection, then its actually nice to see people get along besides sex

our society could use more friendliness, especially during this crazy election haha

that's creepy and definitely pedophilic behavior on the woman's part. seeing as it's in a boarding school environment, are there any staff members you could tell, like teachers that you trust or a guidance/adjustment counsellor, a headmaster/principal, or is there a campus police officer? if you tell them and nothing happens, and if you feel comfortable/safe doing so, i'd recommend telling higher authorities (calling the cops, something like that), or getting someone else to do it. i'm really sorry this is happening and I wish you all the best!!

  • Based on the votes, it seems that most people agree that something's off.... Any suggestion what should I do now?

Um... A 20 year old woman and a 12 year kid. Does that sound smart? (If they have some other relationship) No.
I'm totally ignoring your crush part. That is irrelevant. Either that or your just envious of some little kid. If that's the case. Get a hold of yourself it's just a kid, i doubt the kid is plotting to marry her or anything.
