Is it normal feeling happy about my ex's break up

Okay, so.. A little backstory.

4 years ago I broke up with my last real girlfriend, and after all this time, she write me one night. We started talking and just as I had been single since we broke up, she had.. Been with her new boyfriend.
Last night she called me in tears, saying they had broken up, and could not help being happy. Because I know that there is the slimmest of chances, I can get my dream girl back.
Is this normal? I feel like such an egotist.. And yet, happy :)

No. You're a wicked human being. You don't deserve her. Women are better than men, and smarter and also better-looking. Even the fat ones. Evil man. Rapist!

      I really hope you're trolling?
Doesn't matter what gender you are, there are just as many smart men as smart women out there, aand some pretty damn stupid men & women too ;)

I think everyone feels a little bit of happiness when their ex's relationships break down.
I don't want any of my ex's back, I'm not interested in them at all, but when I saw my ex's last relationship break down a little voice inside me said ha!

Absolutely normal. And normal to hope it was really painful for her.
On the other hand, if you get back together with her, then you are a total idiot!
Do you honestly think she in anyway cared that she hurt you so much you couldn't date another woman after your break up?
Did you think you were showing her?
Leave the bitch to suffer and hope she forever regrets what could have been.

        no, but on the real...

Some people just have too much passion for others and are easy to take advantage of, he is better off investing his time in somebody else that will return the feelings he is willing to give..

Absolutely normal. I'd be the same. It's a mix of schadenfreude and the [not so] secret desire to get back together.

Is it also normal to feel like the break up was my fault? :/

You might have helped (when talking to her) but I guess they already had problems before.
