Is it normal everyone thinks im retarded, and i'm just pretending not to be

Does everyone do this? In my natural state, have a lot of "autistic" behaviors, but I try to keep them hidden, from doctor/psychologist as well, because I find it shameful. i "sperg out" sometimes, and people seem a bit uncomfortable by it, but i don't really know, I usually ask, in a roundabout way, if people are mad or hate me, they always say no, but i think they're just patronizing and I'm actually retarded. IIN?

One: you are NOT retarded. Two: I don't think you annoy people half as much as you think.

I used to know a kid in high school and he had moderate case of aspergers. Sometimes he would use difference accents or be very opinionated but he wasn't all that weird or annoying. We got along fine.

On another note, is your psychologist your therapist or do you just talk about your autism with him?

    • You're a nice guy :)) thank you for your kindness
the therapist was just someone from my university's mental health services, honestly I don't feel like it helped much, but like I said I didn't really speak directly about autistic type of symptoms cuz I was too ashamed and try to hide them in real life

How can someone pretend not to be retarded? It's not something you can just turn off.

Hmm... Yeah, a lady I used to know had a 16 year old daughter who would get all excited about stuff elementary kids would normally be into. Her daughter seemed normal at first, but then she's all ape shit about a cartoon called Total Drama Island. Anyway she supposedly was an Aspie. Nice, cheerful kid though.
