Is it normal every time i hear of soap removing blood i think of killers?

Every time I watch a soap commercial for cloth it always includes removing bloodstain. Whenever I watch this an involuntary thought comes across my mind. I always think "Boy this would be useful for a serial killer". Not that I am planning to kill anyone but I always think "Why else in the world would someone be needing to clean blood out of sheets and cloth that often?

Females bleed about once a month. Stains in clothes or on bedsheets is a reality.

^ This. Women do make up half the population, you know; it's not that far-fetched that soap companies would address the needs of a few billion people.

Of course, it could also be that we're serial killers. I admit to feeling pretty murderous one week out of the month. At least we'll have nice sheets.

    • You know I never thought of that. Maybe I watch too many horror films.

With how often I end up bleeding from something or another, this is actually quite useful.

Also, they're advertising their soap's potential; no one actually expects to only be cleaning up blood with the soap.
It's like a truck commercial advertising how many tons it can pull. No one expects that to be what happens all the time.

    • I know but when they kill someone they often do not do a very good job disposing of bed sheets. I just always imagine a serial killer is watching and saying "That would be perfect for my next crime". Its a really funny thought.

Ah hahaha! I always think the same thing. "New Ultra Strength HIDE...make your sheets look like they're slept on, by someone sane, while the evidence goes down the drain."

Yes and No. What you have to realize is that bleeding can happen with or without warning. Women get their periods and sometimes, the blood can get on under ware, clothing and bedsheets.

People can injure themselves with out warning and depending on the type of injury, there could be small to profuse amounts of blood. I used to know this boy that was bizarrely accident prone. One day, he was playing football in doors and crashed head first into home-ec. The resulting injury was a pretty serious nosebleed. I was informed another time that he and some of his other friends decided to go rolling down a hill. Everyone else who did it was perfectly fine. However, when he did it he somehow managed to get his leg impaled on a stick. Of course, he was taken to the hospital where I'm sure he underwent surgery. Think about all the blood that may have gotten on his clothes.

Some people have hemorrhoids and stomach ulcers. Think about all that blood accidentally getting on their clothes or *gasp* things that can't be washed like sofas!

Think about all that blood that has gotten on hospital fabrics. Don't you think they have to know how to effectively get the stains out?

Some people cough up blood, but I'm sure, by now, you get my point.

I know it is because of women, since I'm one, but I can't help it, I'll just keep thinking of murder every time I hear of these soaps too. lol

Never seen bloodstains included in an advert for soap. Never actually seen an advert for soap... Unless you're on about laundry detergent or stain remover.

When I was a kid I would always get nose bleeds for no apparent reason. I mean, pouring like a tap nosebleeds. Even now I still get them on occasion for no reason. I woke up with one a week ago and poured blood on my pillow by accident (maybe I should write an IIN post about it?). Anyway, for that reason, I know how difficult blood can be to get out of clothes, and can see why it'd be featured in an ad.

Females bleed once a month TMI.

It's normal to me, what if you accidently murder someone and you have to cover it up cooz theres no way a jury would believe you.

    • If you accidentally murdered someone it is called man slaughter. So yeah they would probably believe you but it is still worth jail time.

        • No that was not you it was just bad luck. She killed herself. Its not homicide if you were in no way involved.

When you watch a commercial it's all about the period blood baby cause they're just too squeamish to say it.
