Is it normal endless small talk annoys me

I am Russian. My gf is American. I used to have a bad temper but I am getting help for it. But I struggle not to get angry everytime I watch a movie or enjoy a meal, my gf and her friends constantly make small talk and want me to join in. She invites them over all the time as a surprise. They stand in front of the tv when I am trying to watch the movie.They ask very stupid personal questions and giggle very loudly constantly at everything.They also love to talk about politics constantly ,which I find rude. Sometimes they ask the same questions two or three times in a row and when I do try and answer, they interrupt me and ask me again. If I ignore them and don't answer I am rude. Are all American girl like this? Or am I with the wrong one?

    I've always wondered why a group of women wasn't called a gaggle. Seems like a rather appropriate word to fit their actions and what they sound like, when they flock together.

    They sound normal for young ones. Best option is to put something in those mouths so they have something else to do.
