Is it normal as female to be offended by male's right to sue over side-effect?

I saw a commercial the other day for an injury lawyer. It was for males suing for a med called risperidone causing them breast enlargement and possible lactation.

I took risperidone and got painful breast enlargement and lactation and I'm a female. This is a main reason why I STOPPED taking it! Somehow it's supposed to be OK if you're female? You're supposed to like it and be OK with it? You're not allowed to be upset over it?

is it normal that it's OK for males but not females to be bothered by these side effects?

Actually you too can sue for damages and are perfectly capable of entering into a lawsuit. You saw an advert made by lawyers and they what to make the most money in the shortest time possible. It is much easier for them to prove breast enlargement in men and they will receive more damages for men because growing breasts is considered to be more harmful for a man's career.

You do realize that personal injury lawyers don't make the law right?

If it makes you feel any better the reverse has happened with testosterone increasing medication lawsuits...

  • Well you certainly have rights in this situation too, but when a man has painful breast enlargement and lactation its a much bigger problem than it is with women, its also more rare. The lawyer knows he can make more money off of cases where it has happened to men, because it is more unusual and more unnatural, so its easier to prove harm and there are more "damages" that can be awarded in settlement. You can try and sue too, but if you win you will not be awarded as much money as you would be if you were a man.

A good analog is testosterone supplementation. The side effects such as aggression and unwanted hair growth can be a problem for men, but if it were to happen to a woman, it would be considered more of an issue, so lawyers would rather sue for cases involving a woman.

Oh wow. Feminists. This is why a hate you all. Unless there is a woman in every commercial, it's sexist. I remember once some feminists said that Toy Story 3 was sexist because there weren't enough female toys and that the female ones were portray in a 'bad light'. They're not normal people. And OP, your title says it all

"Offended by a males right to sue". The rights of males sue you? What if I posted saying that I'm "Offended by women's right to sue over breast cancer"? Men get it too. Why shouldn't we be offended?

  • Do you have a problem with men in general?

You can't trust anyone these days. Everyone has hidden agendas to benefit at your price. You can't even imagine how mean things they say about you behind your back.

Holy fuck, they tried to give me that for my anxiety. I could only take one and I was sick to my stomach all day, I tossed them out. Glad I didn't keep taking them.

But like SuperBenzid said, I'm sure you'd be able to get a suit too, they don't restrict those kinds of things based on gender.

Pop your pills and cut your tits off. Seems like a simple solution to me.
