A couple months ago, me and my friend were talking about actors, and musicians and stuff like that. During the conversation, she said something about 'one direction' and I had no clue who that was, so she sent me the link to their video on youtube. ever sense then, we have only ever talked about that ! IIN
I understand. Me and my best friend are 18/19 and we talk about them all the time. Sometimes she gets tired of me blabbing about them. Hjahaja but they're great. I want to meet them. :D

LOL It's just hard to talk about all different things with some people.
Sometimes when you know you have something in common, it's easier and more fun to talk about that. Maybe you guys should make a club or something so you only talk about it in the club? :P And then you can get to know her outside of the club.
But it IS easy to just fall into a trap of talking about the same subject with someone...
Usually because they're not letting you know any of their other interests, so it's hard to just pick random things to talk about.
The British boy band one direction are very popular in the UK and you are obviously from the US.
I heard they were pretty good.
It's normal to love a group, but not to the point where you end up sub-coming to it.
Try to find other things that interest you:)
Seriously? All you ever talk about? Not normal, they're just another boyband like any other who will be forgotten about in ten years from now. Sure their song is catchy but it's generic.
I'm usually really drunk when i'm out and these come on and I will end up singing along hahaha.
