Is it normal after 1 year haven't said i love you

My boyfriend and I have been together for a year now, but we haven't said I love you to each other yet.Before we started dating I noted that he's not very open about feelings etc so it didn't bother me the first few months but things have gotten more serious,I spend most days at his place and his even mentioned that we should move in together and I really do feel like I love him and he treats me like he does too. He is caring and protective and does a lot of things that shows he cares, other than this our relationship is amazing. But I don't want to be the first one to say it. Is this normal?

    There's nothing wrong with saying it first. You're both probably thinking the same way, but nothing will come out of waiting for the other to say it first.

    took me 2 years to say it myself. It depends on how vocal and expressive you two are. I was just unsure of what it would mean at first. Last thing you want is someone to say they love you and it not be genuine or heartfelt.

      I think thats his problem he is not very expressive when it comes to feelings but all his actions shows that the love is there. Maybe if I take the chance to say it first he will feel more comfortable to say it too...

        Its possible. If i were you I'd try to wait until he says it. Just in case that when you do and he doesn't respond back immediately that you don't feel heartbroken or offended.

    He doesn't have to say it if he shows it. If he shows it, that mean he does. That enough for you princess? Geez.
