Is it normal a gay man told me i'm the only women he's been attracted to?

I've been friends with this guy for a couple years. We're very close and I assumed he was gay, he didn't really hide it or anything. The other day we were watching movies at his house and he admitted to me that I'm the only girl hes ever been attracted to. I told him I thought he was gay and he said "I thought I was too, you're the first girl I've ever looked at as more than 'pretty'." I'm feminine, so its not that i look like a man. is it normal for a man who calls himself gay to have one woman who he finds attractive? Perhaps hes actually bi?

This has got to be the most pathetic way to get a girl. This is in the same boat as guy cheerleaders.

Many straight people will claim they have a "man crush" or "girl crush" on someone of their own gender so it's pretty common for gay people to experience the opposite.

I have a guy friend like that too. He plays it like he's gay, but we've known each other since the 6th grade, and he used to never act that way when we were young. He always said he had a crush on me, and sadly, I never returned the same feelings, so I'd always kinda blow him off. Yet, we always stayed somewhat close, but only as friends.

Once high school started he was acting strange. He told me one day that he thought he might've been bi. Each year something would change about him. He made his voice higher, another year he started walking differently. More like a lady. But at the same time he'd come back to me, and claim that he's always wanted to be with me. Strange how he could turn the voice on and off whenever he wanted. In my senior year of hs, people would say stuff to me like, "I don't know what it is about you. He claims he's gay... but he's infatuated with you." And I know for a fact I don't look like a dude, because I've had (not trying to sound like a conceited person) but a good amount of people tell me I'm really pretty/hot, and I've been asked out by a lot of guys. A girl from my gym class(in hs) told me in the locker room one day, that in the class before gym he wouldn't stop talking about me to her, and that if he were to marry someone, he'd want it to be me if I were still single. I let him take me to prom. We went as friends. He always tried to take it further. I was forced to be a snob about it to get him to back off a little, because he was kinda getting overbearing. We didn't talk for a while, and he was angry at me. He's become hot and cold towards me. College rolled around; he told me he lost his virginity to a girl he met in college, and that he waited too long for me, so he had to look elsewhere. He applied at the job I worked at, got the job. Brags to the coworkers that him and I went to prom in high school together, talks about guys he thinks are attractive, told me he had sex w/ a dude, later told me he was joking, never did, and only said it to see how I would react, he makes rude comments towards me in front of people when I give him the cold shoulder. Then he later claims he was, "just joking", and that he really loves me. He found out another coworker asked me out to dinner, he got angry and told me that I better have said no to that guy if I had been saying no to him for "all these years". I don't get him at all.

He's horny. Let me tell you a little secret of us gay men. It's not that we're un-attracted to women, it's that we're either too lazy to pursue or too timid to try. It's very rare to meet a gay man who can truthfully say "I don't like boobs, don't like pussy".

  • "I thought I was too, you're the first girl I've ever looked at as more than 'pretty'."

Well this can say that he loves your personallity which means you're the first girl he's ever looked at as more than "pretty".
