Iis it normal furious over what my son did to my car

the hood latch is broken. It is actually his car that he paid for but I took his name off the lease so I own him. He says the car battery died and he had to have a stranger jump him.well the idiot slammed the hood too hard and now its broken.I bet he was having sex on the hood. It is only going to cost 10 dollars and I have the money and he actually already paid for it, but I feel such a rage for my son it isn't funny.I really really want to make him pay Like sue him or have him go to jail for a couple nights. I can't stop screaming and yelling and getting in his face until he cries.I stood outside his door for hours this morning yelling at him to open up. He keeps leaving and refusing to talk to me. which pisses me off because he has to talk to and has to grovel t o me because I am hius his father the ruler of this house.My wife and all of the neighbours are really sick of hearing about it and my wife thinks it's my fault for slamming the hood over and over for three hours every other night for a month.
