anyways, my dad and i don't have a very good relationship. So I came back from my friend's house one day and told him hi. and he didn't say anything back and then as i was walking to my room he yelled at me because he found like a dr. pepper in my room and i'm not supposed to eat or drink in my room. so i was like "sorry dad i won't do it again" but he didn't stop and blah blah he started getting angrier and eventually just slapped me. and he was saying that i'm an embarrassment to the family.. so yeah i was apologizing, he mocked me and whatever. stuff happened. but yeah he's always been aggressive and has like anger issues but idk if that's normal or something but yeah thanks for reading.

    It's not uncommon but it's not at all okay. How old are you? Can you get out? Does he hit your mom too?
    Parents who let their self hatred out on their children is a wide spread problem and there's plenty of material on the subject. Whatever this man sais or does to you, don't let him turn you into him. Be better.

    If your father has had a traumatising experience lately and hasn't hit you in the past, ignore what I said, please.
