A healthy one, hopefully.
I wouldn't want to choose my child. It's not like adopting a dog or a cat where you choose the age and breed, they're human beings who will grow up to be adults someday whereas animals will just shit on your carpets and die under your bed.
So, no preference.
Which Asian infant?
Asia is a large continent (in fact, the largest), with a very large diversity of people from many tribes.
There are people with Mongoloid, proto-Caucasoid, Caucasoid, Australoid, Archaic, Neanderthal and Denisovan ancestry who live there, with various admixtures.
Two or more kids don't metter if they're boy or girl, toddler to like preteen but there's no way I would adopt a teen right away.
I would have to say school girl around 8. My daughter is wanting me to get married again and bake her a baby sister, yes she said "bake".
I would prefer a baby boy. I would like to have had a baby girl but then, even though the child is not biologically mine, I would probably go to jail for murdering her boyfriends when she eventually gets one.
I don't care what gender they are. I would adopt one of the older children who needed me. I don't know how I'd make the decision, I'd probably just go in and try to let instinct guide me.
I've considered fostering too. Have a few friends who spent several years in the system and they didn't come out of it with very pleasant stories. :/
