if you were in a coma and on life support would you want them to pull the plug and let you die or would you want to be kept alive with a feeding tube in the hopes that one day you will come out of the coma?

This is a tough one. I'd want to be kept alive only if there were any chance of me regaining my health. If I would clearly wind up being a vegetable for the rest of my life, I wouldn'twant to put that burden on someone. On the other hand, if signs looked like I could regain consciousness and make a full (or mostly full) recovery then I would hope my loved ones would make the choice to keep me around.
Any opportunity for a painless death I'm taking it. -Doesn't include suicide.
Stay on life support. Unless my loved ones absolutely can't afford to keep me up, leave my plug alone.
It would partially depend on my age and the amount of time I'm down, though. If I'm above the age of 80 then go ahead and pull it, I had a good run. If I'm in a coma for more than 20 years, or my age goes above 80 while I'm in the coma, then go ahead and pull it.
Otherwise, back off. I want to live. As long as I can perceive the world, whatever greets me after awaking is better than death.
That's why many of us have a DNR order after a certain age. The last thing I want to be is a vegetable and I can't imagine how horrible it would be to wake up years later with all my muscles atrophied and most likely my mental faculties diminished. No thank you. Alive and kicking or dead and fed to the sea; there ain't no in between!
I'd want them pull the plug. It's better for your loved ones to let you go rather than perpetuating not only your suffering, but also theirs.
