I'm thinking of a spiritual one for my first time tattoo, along the lines of Ganesh, or Shiva? I think that would look pretty cool. But, tell me what you'd have done, if you were to get a tattoo.

A tattoo of a ruler, so that I wouldn't have to carry a ruler around to measure things.
I would only get something small and discrete and has a true deep meaning to me. Not something tacky and pointless I will regret when I'm older.
i know it sounds weird, but i come from a long line of butchers so i think i'm going to get a tattoo of a slab of meat when i turn 18 and start working at my dad's shop. i kinda want it to look like the front page picture on meatspin.com because i think it looks cool. you guys should check it out and tell me what you think.

Tribal tattoos used to have meaning, each simble, each image, now theyre all just terribly designed mock ups usually inked into the upper arm and shoulder blade. Theyre just a fad design that will probably pass... good thing too...
How can you tell someone there opinion in wrong? That doesn't even make sense and is vert rude...

That's a bit of a generalisation dont you think? They still DO have meaning to people. I.e. A tribal dragon-I wouldn't get one on the basis of them being all the rage but because I like dragons and I have done since I was 5yrs old.

Anything with Satanic stuff on it: A Satan's head, a pentagram, a 666, demons, etc. I LOVE anything and everything Satanic, so that is the only type of tattoo I would ever get.

I'm Samoan so idk....I was thinking bout getting one of the traditional tatoos...idk though. Also I want a very small heart on the inside of my wrist and maybe angel wings on my back? I'm not sure about that though.
I'd get an intricate stencil tattoo in black to cover my back-it would have little pictures of dragons or flowers weaves into it. I like the idea of someone tracing their fingers over it...

anything but a tribal tattoo because nothing screams 'douche' like a tribal tattoo! But hey, at least they are labeled so we already know :D

I would get a tattoo of my initials, not some ridiculous tattoo that I would regret later in my life, i.e barbed wire, religious tattoos, chinese writing...

i like tattoo ART, when you get an amazing backpiece or something of that nature and think "wow how the fuck have they done that? that would look great on my living room wall" i have a small tattoo just above my hip which i designed myself in B/W which i love, very meaningful to me and well done. im currently designing My back piece in B/W (i think colour tattoos look like stickers..shit) which consists of some original art and ideas influenced by some early salvador dali work. it will probably cost a good 2grand - but if its true art by an amazing artist im willing to pay no less ! (well i am but you catch my drift)
I said the same thing to my cousin. She got her name on her arm and I asked her if she got that so she can remember her name when she gets all old and forgetful.
I totally get you. But i sometimes think, b/w tattoo's look better on different skin, for example i feel they look better on darker skin than lighter. Are you dark? Because i'm seriously considering colour tattoos for my light skin. I think if i got b/w one's, i would feel that a 3 year old would have drawn on me with a permanant marker or something.
im quite pale and have black and white grey tattoo, its brilliant very professional, and in no way looks like you are discribing, you need to make sure youre going somewhere that does very good shading to make it look as though the tattoo is meant to be there, not just drawn on with a marker.. obviously it also depends on what you would want to get. I hate colour tattoos.. havnt really seen many ive liked.. they all look like stickers... very occasional il see a good one tat uses the colour very subtly.. but thats hard to find.
