ALL of the options you list for people who actually want to get a tattoo are all the major freakin' cliches of the tattooed world: Dolphins, religion, baby's name, stars, Chinese symbols! Give me a fucking break!

I already have 7 tattoos, one of which are Japanese Kanji symbols that I can understand. lol.

I'd want something that really means something to me. I might have a quote, written as Gaeilge around my arm. I dunno though. Tattoos require a lot of though, I hate when people who just go get some "stars on their neck" or something "cool".

Something that represents me: Peace love and happiness! Unfortunately I'll get drunk or high and end up with either a bunch of illegible autographs, scribbles, poorly worked thing (tiger, car, whatever that might end up a giant black circle they made in attempt to hide the bad work), or pacman on my chest eating my nipple.

i have a chinese symbol and a japanesse the chinese one means "forever loved" and the japanesse one means "the choosen one" rofl i got that because the tat dude sugested it.

If I were going to get a tat, which i am, I would get a sick ass cross on my left hip... to represent my religion. I'd also get a chinese symbol of the word strong because thats what my name means. The last tats i would get would be one on my butt that represents the most important thing to me and possibly my childrens names.

I would put Japanese symbols (I can understand some) either on my arms or on my back.

i love tattoos but none of the answer realy applied 2 me, i have my favorite bands symbol on my lower arm!

Im 17 and have wanted one since i was around 11, but figured i'd wait til i was of legal age to get a good one rather then get a crap one sooner. Im also a bit of a history buff and so i wanted to get something both historical yet cool, so going for a spiraling, celtic/tribal tattoo that extends all the way up my arm from the very top of the back of my hand to my left upper chest and back. All in black. Whilst all tattoos will eventually fade, colours look crap when they do.

I don't have any tattoos because if I were going to get one I'd want it to mean something to me. I don't really think about it though and I kinda figure that if I haven't gotten one yet I probably won't.
