Honestly? I'd take the eternal life. If there was a way for me to split it with other people, I would (especially as infinity divided by any integer is still infinity).

Imagine if people lived forever. What would we look like and evolve into. It's a biological fact we are born and hopefully when we have lived our lives and grown to a ripe old age the good lord takes us to a better place where we meet our loved ones again We can't last forever I am afraid to say. xx

I would totally take it one one condition. It is true immortality meaning i will always live even if shot in the heart. Like Captain Jack Harness. I would love to see the new things that humanity thinks up in the years to come. I have always dreamed about the future and wanted to visit it. As for my friends I would not miss them. Its not that I hate them but I dont mind mental pain. If my friends die all I have to do is find new friends.

Sentient and Ethical creatures usually (but not always) tire of eternal life after about 500 years.

I don't want immortality, and I think of it as a curse. I don't want to give that power to anybody.

If I had to choose one of those options I'd choose myself. But not because I want to live forever, but I wouldn't want any of the others to live forever. I don't see being immortal as a good thing at all. Seeing everyone around you dying but you never age. The world itself changing constantly and it would be hard to keep up with it. I would go with myself because I'd rather have to suffer for eternity then the people I care about.

  • Each option comes with inherent risk. If I give it to him who's to say he doesn't lose his mind in 1000 years or else spirited away by some lunatic and experimented on?

Or what's to save me from that fate? It's always difficult to discern the future.

I'd give it to myself but not out of selfishness.

Hmm. I'd definitely not give it to my best friend. She's very religious, and she wouldn't want it and would hate me for it. She already thinks I'm going to hell!D:

As for myself, I'm not sure anymore. At one point, I would have said yes. However, at the moment, I don't want immortality, thank God! I prefer it that way, since I know I'm never going to get it. I'll probably change my mind on this one over time, but for now I'll say no. Hmm, although...Damn it!D:

Edit: btw, I'd change your title if I were you. It's a decent post, and having such a demanding title just seems silly and unnecessary.
