If you had children, would you want to choose their genders?

There is no right or wrong answer. It's just how you feel.

I kind of want the kids of gender obsessed parents to turn out gay.

I actually wouldn't mind having a gay child.

What is wrong having a gay child?

nothing, but those who want a boy so he can do "boy" things will be utterly disappointed when that boy turns out gay. I like that kind of irony.

I would not. I probably wouldn't judge anyone who did, but I don't have a preference so there'd be no point choosing.

I don't have any children but if I did I would like one boy and one girl. However, regardless of how I might feel it's never my place or anyone else's to choose the sex of a child.

both genders have so many interesting and unique characteristics that which ever gender it would be I'd love to accept what they are.. the only thing is I would want to have both genders as my kids!

The world is too hard for men so I prefer daughters but I won't actually have kids at all.

I want both a boy and a girl but I want a boy first. According to some on here that's selfish to bring a child into this world to pass on your genetics but to them I say fuck you. Its a natural instinct to reproduce and carry on your bloodline.

If I were to have children, I wouldn't love them anymore or less if it was a boy or a girl but if I did have a child, I would want a boy.

  • No. I could see myself with either.

Not exactly. I want to have a son and a daughter.
Best case scenario. I get both.

  • I'm very against geneticly engering humans but I agree with stem cell research for cloning specific body parts.

Endangered species should be cloned too.

You should definitely accept the child you have. Otherwise it sould be like in china where most of the girls are just abandoned.
But if you had the technology to choose what gender the child will have before you have it... That's a more complicated question. No, probably not. It would mess with the natural diversity.
I just watched the movie Gattaca a few days ago - Your question to me goes in a similar direction.

I would be happy to have a son but I think that whatever the sex my first child is he would be very special because he would be my first child.
