If I spill a drink and the guy thinks : "I'll never go out with her again",
then i'm glad i spilled it because obviously, i just dogded a bullet.
I know for heaven sake. someone spills water and you think she is a idiot? It was a accident what is wrong with you? The OP seems like a complete ass. Also if its a first date they may be nervoues. If someone is so messed up they look down on a girl since she isnt perfect and flawless is a dick!
Awww, got to love a clumsy girl. I'd make a joke out of it to try and make her feel more comfortable. Might even deliberately push my own drink over too. After all, it's only a drink. She's more important.
I remember had a freind who would mess with me. I would jump everytime he touched me and he grabbed my leg in class and I fell back in my chiar it happened like 3times one day. I would freak out so bad he made me so nervoues and I was obsessed with him.
1. Why would I think it is cute she spilled her drink.
2. Why would I laugh at her for spilling her drink on the table.
3. Why would I be dumb enough not to know what to do if some one spilled their drink?
4. Why would I not like her if she had a accident and spilled her drink?
5. (OTHER)I would clean it up!!!
That's what I always wind up doing on the date because I'm so clumsy. They always just laugh it off.
When I first started going out with my boyfriend he kept spilling drinks, half the time on me. I thought it was hilarious and it made me feel comfortable around him knowing I wasn't the only nervous one. ^.^
Agree! I would just keep laughing too. I laugh at almost everything though. :\ lol

If I didn't like the guy and the date was going bad (As in guys a douche) maybe it would annoy me.
The first time was at a theme park. We were getting icees and he pulled the lever the wrong way and it broke and sprayed us with icee. XD Another time we were going on a lunch break and we bought (glass) bottled soda drinks and he wanted to open it for me. So we were walking to the break room and whilst he was trying to open it the top flew off and hit me in the head and the soda went everywhere. The other times were just the knocking over of my drinks.
I'd be too busy asking for towels and stealing napkins to consider the 'spiller-of-the-glass'...the first time anyway. If it was a few dates in and they were still tossing water everywhere I'd be getting annoyed...maybe start keeping a roll of paper towels nearby.
A polite well-mannered person is not one who doesn't spill red wine on a white table cloth, but a person who sees another person do it and doesn't point it out. In other words she already feels bad about this, don't be an asshole and make her feel even worse.
I would be pretty sad if it spilled and mixed into my coffee, but everyone makes mistakes. It would be utterly stupid to literally consider breaking up with a person because of it. If a breakup did occur then the spiller would be lucky because no one deserves to be with asshole unless they are assholes themselves...
Accidents happen.
If it was unintentional, I'd clean it up and think no different of her.

Plus like what everybody else is saying, I would be so happy that the guy would be gone if he didn't want to go on another date because of a freakin spilled drink. You know he might of ended up with a black eye if that would of happened to me. No good woman deserves a guy like him.
Why isn't "help her clean the table" an option?
But seriously... if someone based a relationship on whether or not a date spilled a drink... that date is better off with someone else who's less shallow.
Gotta love a clumsy girl. There is something about them that make me feel like they should be taken care of, I like this.
Since I'm certainly not perfect, and know it could just as easily happen to me, I would hope we'd have a good laugh out of it.
Aww I just laugh at these things. I've spilled plenty of drinks. Twice in a row on my brothers friends brand new shoes too. Oops. Haha with my luck I'd spill it on myself making it look like I pee'd which would make me laugh so hard that I would probably pee myself :)but good thing I spilled my drink so no one will know! Haha
