  • No. If I did, the Nazis might never of existed, then there would be no Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies.

    Jokes aside.

I wouldn't. I wouldn't know the concequences of it. Maybe the Nazis are made later on in life, in a time that has even more fire power and technology, then what?

Nobody could know what would happen, and it could just make things worse.

Aww! His little mustache is sooo cute! I can't kill it!

I don't think I would, History has its course and why would I change only this? There are so many terrible things perpetrated by man that would have to be changed as well then. The idea of changing or avoiding past events isn't new, but it's pointless. If one's dreaming of a perfect world a lot more would have to be changed in the past and present. And, well, never gonna happen.

Im not a nazi, but i DO agree with alot of white nationalist views. Im not one to just go "oh i've got to be tolerant because it's Politically correct, so it must be right"

Killing hitler= No WWII= no cold war so therefore technology would have advanced slower. Which means the iphone probably wouldn't be here right now or other devices.

Don't get me wrong I still hate the guy.

You can't change what happened in history. I believe that the deaths of eleven million innocent people was ruthless and immeasurably cruel, but I'm sure that somehow, it happened for a reason. I don't know what the reason is, but there's a reason for anything.

    tl;dr- No.

    Sorry folks.
I'm not a murderer and I sure as shit couldn't kill a baby.

Of all of the things I could do, all of the factors I could change, if I had the ability to go back in time and do something to prevent the Holocaust, I highly, highly, highly doubt that I could think of no better option than to kill an (at the time what would be) innocent infant.

It wouldn't make a difference. Hitler was borne of the prevailing problems in Europe (not least the lack of resolution of some issues from the First World War and crippling recession). If it wasn't him, it'd have been someone else.

    Comment Hidden ( show )
  • I would go back and hopefully somehow help him not turn into who he did turn into. Of course, it might be inevitable and nothing will change it but trying is what matters.

And I would cause a huge distortion in time with that but hell, I'd be saving so many lives!

  • Corleone

I think the situation before WO II was way too complicated to solve it by killing one man. There were genocides all over Europe, Hitler didn't invent it. I'm afraid that if we would've killed baby Hitler, someone else would probably have taken his place.

So, I wouldn't kill a baby, but I'd look for other ways to stop them.

Incorrect, in the massenergy Universe you would have to move through spacetime relative to us. The greater the velocity relative to us, the greater the time differential.

      • suckonthis9

Unfortunately, the Universe does not work that way, therefor even in a hypothetical world, time would still only move in one direction, forward.
Note: This applies to the massenergy Universe. Should you become Enlightened, and are able to understand the Quark Realm, then movement in spacetime becomes possible in all directions.
With that said, an Enlightened creature is Ethically bound to not interfere with past events.
There are safeguards in place that prevent any creature from creating such a temporal anomaly.

Indeed, anyone who said that they would go back in time and alter events in any way, would cause many Sentient creatures to cease to exist. Quite probably, I would be one of them, as my mother and father would have never met, had the events of WWII not taken place as they did. We would therefor not be having fun today!
Interesting that it is possible, and encouraged for advanced Sentient creatures to observe past events. Also important to understand, that Sentient creatures have the ability to change future events by making an alternate decision. Indeed, in another Universe I did make decisions which leads to this timeline. Since I am considered to be an Ethical and Enlightened creature, my Sentience has been preserved in this Universe. It is important to understand that one should act Ethically, and not make rash decisions, and not view this method as an escape. Instead, I would like you to ask yourself a question, what can I do differently today to make the world a better place?

It depends on what the consequences of him not living would be (which is of course impossible to know). A much worse war might hit later on after when one had and caused more destruction but if not then yes i would kill him

No, I wouldn't because changing history is not a good idea. I mean, yeah, it would save a lot more people, but I don't think that it is a good idea to kill him first.
Yeah, I dunno. Maybe like, educate him differently. I guess that's still altering history though..
