'They' are the shadow creatures. They are a very highly advanced technological civilization in our local galactic cluster (you may use the abbreviation VHATC-L2 if you like. "L2" is their designation for their home galaxy). They do have a name, but they have asked that we do not use it as yet, because they take offense to a similar foreign word that has been adopted into English in a particular context.

            • shadow creatures live in your house and want you to leave so they can keep it for themselves. But they can't touch things or pick them up so they try and spook you. They are lame space stealing little things that can go fuck themselves, in this life and the next.

As for murder, after age 40 i'd think about it.

I can truly and honestly say I would commit murder, and it would in fact be pre-meditated murder, I've come close to being charged with murder before already, Working for a private security firm over in Iraq after Saddam's rein was ended I had shot a few civilians, and I knew at the time I wasn't going to be punished due to the location and time.

I once posted a question here asking what the worst crime someone would commit if they could get away with it. I was stunned by the answers. I always thought people were law-abiding because of their personal morality, as opposed to the deterrent of punishment.

The answers I got stunned me so much that I chose not to believe them, and that the people answering just thought it was cool and gangsta to "say" they'd kill others.

          Wow. No.
That's pretty awful. I couldn't kill someone. I'm an asshole, for sure, but I couldn't end someone's life. I think that there is a good possibility that most of them have either not thought it through or believe what they see on TV, that it's so simple and one can be so apathetic. All the while we have large numbers of soldiers coming home traumatized. Killing isn't pretty and I doubt that everyone that does it gets that special little feeling of accomplishment. Like I said above. I'm a pussy.

I couldn't kill anyone, either. I'm pretty much an atheist so the thought of stealing away the only life a person will ever have is utterly horrifying to me.

I'm amazed that we glorify killing in films and computer games.

              No wonder everyone likes you.
I never thought about killing from the atheist perspective though but I like your perspective. I am a multi-religious Mormon, so my views are a bit different on the subject of killing but ultimately it's a personal matter of empathy.

I don't understand why the media glorifies killing but I wish I did. It's horrible and barbaric. There are certainly better ways to solve one's problems than through violence. The "I want to kill them" mentality is so horribly flawed... I really wonder if people know just how horrible it is to kill another human being...

    No.
Let's be honest here, I'm a fucking pussy. The thought of making others suffer just makes me cringe. I couldn't knowingly harm someone, let alone murder them. Sometimes, people need to get hurt emotionally but I can't think of a problem, next to a life or death situation, in which murder is anywhere near an appropriate solution. I can't decide who should live and who should die.

If my existence is to cause harm to others, I certainly hope someone would put a stop to me before I did anything of horror worth note to anyone. I just couldn't watch someone suffer and I certainly couldn't make a mother, or brother, or uncle or friend suffer because someone did something that I didn't like. And I've been screwed over plenty. I don't have the heart. Even someone like Hitler, or Saddam Hussein. I couldn't pull the trigger. Let someone else do it. Not me. I'd probably cry myself to sleep for the rest of my life.

Maybe this makes me a lesser person, but I don't care. I have no desire to watch someone die or be responsible for someone's death. It's not my place in this world.

Then you are dangerously and suicidally sentimental. Let's say a serial killer who murdered 20 people breaks into your home and you were going to be number 21.

You both have guns but you see him before he sees you and you could kill him. If you don't shoot him, he will torture you mercilessly and slowly for months till you died, would you do it?

Have you never hated someone to consider their lives completely worthless and been apathetic towards them? You care too much about others and not enough about yourself.

Many people deserve to be hated and killed-like muslim radicals/terrorists, serial killers, criminally corrupt/seditious cops/politicians, wife-beaters, parents who torture their children, child-rapists, etc.

Do you live under a fucking rock?? A good lot of people are against capital punishment. That means, they disagree with executing the convicted, no matter WHAT they are convicted of.

Self defense aside, most people would never want to harm anyone, let alone kill them.

It's YOUR opinion that "many people deserve to be hated and killed", not everyone's. Most people don't think like that, most people don't appoint themselves judge, jury and executioner. Who the hell are YOU to decide?? Did it ever occur to you that someone feels the same way about YOU?? You're the terrorist.

"Have you never hated someone to consider their lives completely worthless and been apathetic towards them? You care too much about others and not enough about yourself."

No. My feelings don't affect whether someone else's life is worthless or not. And no, I care enough about myself. I stay safe, I have enough self respect not to date someone that would disrespect me and I steer clear of those types of people.

"Many people deserve to be hated and killed-like muslim radicals/terrorists, serial killers, criminally corrupt/seditious cops/politicians, wife-beaters, parents who torture their children, child-rapists, etc."

That's fine. People do horrible things, but the fact of the matter is that I can't muster up the strength to kill them myself. I'd like to see to it that they have a fair trial, and if they are found "innocent", I must respect that. In a situation in which I see them victimizing someone, I'd defend that person, but that's all I could do. If you have such strong feelings about that, then YOU kill them.

I'm not a murderer. That's not my place in this world. I'm not asking you to respect that.

i think you'd react in a way you thought wasn't possible if faced with a split second decision to kill or be killed/watch your loved ones being slaughtered.

who really knows how they'd react in life threatening situations though..

If you want to kill someone, you can, and get away with it just fine. As if it's some 'great achievement' to do it and not get caught?? Not hardly. Next to rape, murder is the easiest violent crime to get away with.

All these pansies that say yes but haven't done it are just shit talkers. They're thinking too personally, and not thinking about killing just for the sake of killing. They're thinking 'I want to kill my enemy' or something of the sort. That right there tells you they're not doing it for the killing, they're doing it for a personal reason, and even if presented with the perfect opportunity, they probably wouldn't even do it.

what are you babbling about? Killing with no purpose just makes you a murderous lunatic.

Killing people who gravely wronged you is the only justifiable reason for it. Also pre-emption for self-defense, such as the case of a known enemy which you know will harm/kill you in the future.
