If you could choose, which would you prefer?

Whatever career it is that you are in or want, would you like it better if you were able to do it outdoors or indoors most of the time? Even if you have a job that is not meant to be done outside, would you be able to make it happen, hypothetically? Yes, you can shade yourself from the weather.

Indoors because I can't stand the sun. It makes me angry and irritated. But I guess outdoors if it was during the winter.

    Combination of the two.

  • I'd say outdoors but this is coming from someone who spends most of their days inside.

I would like to be able to do it outdoors should the mood suit me, but undoubtedly not all of the time. Work would be very difficult to do in a rain or hail-storm and certainly difficult if I have wind blowing in my face. Not to mention that exposure to the elements may damage the equipment (laptops, lab equipment) that I would have to use.

As an option, I think it would be great but as the entirety of my career? No.

A bit of both would be nice. As much as I like staying indoors, being indoors all the time can be boring and maddening. A change of scenery is nice. It might make for some good inspiration for a project and feeling free is always a plus.

Indoors, because I get hot easily and like the AC. :)

Indoors, because then I could work even if there was some freak snowstorm. Also, I don't like the sun.

Well, I'd say yes, but then, you can never tell what the whether might be.

  • Indoors, with a massive window overlooking a garden; that would be my ideal.

If I had a laptop, I could do a lot of my work outside. Although it rains a lot so I would probably just end up in a coffee shop. But that's better than an office. Thankfully I have a window so I get to see lots. And I do have plenty of work that I am not paid for that I get to do outside so it balances itself out.

That's as indoors as it gets, in my book; considering the lack of fresh air in the immediate environment he's in.

Ha. You mean outdoors when there's no more aircraft after the explosion and you're dead already? Oooh, true!!! Best job ever!

I don't know how some people sit at a desk all day. I'd go nuts!!!! I already work inside and outside so I'm good.

    Outdoors! Outdoors! Outdoors!

In my work I'm allowed and encouraged to go out of the office every so often with clients during a work day. It's really nice, even when it's exceptionally hot it's nice to see the sky and feel the sun burning my skin.

    Both environments.

I'm pretty lucky. I work in the comforts of an office but also have the opportunity to meet clients outside of work. Believe me, the first month or so when I was stuck in the office I felt like I was imprisoned in cell.
