If you could bring back one historical figure...

...who is no longer living, who would you choose? And why?

A president (or your country's equivalent) 6
A dictator 3
An activist 5
A scientist 19
An artist (whether they were a painter, musician, etc.) 12
Other 8
A religious leader 8

  • I would be lying if I didn't say Napoleon :)

    • Why, if you don't mind me asking?

      • I'd be happy to answer.

Because he was wise. And I respect wisdom no matter what form it takes. Napoleon's fate was undeserved and I'd bring him back if only to give him a second chance at life.

I would bring back Jesus, have a cup of tea with him and have a good chat!

Would bringing back this dead historical figure cause problems with time, as in, would it have an effect on both the past and the present by altering it?

This is a hard one... Andy Wharhol or Salvador Dali or some other artist I look up to.

Jesus. Definitely Jesus. And if not him, then Siddhartha Gautama. There is just so much mystery behind such religious leaders that I can't even pick one of my favorite artists over one of them.

Thank you for the good questions! But my poor brain struggles these days without help.

Can I bring back Picasso since I offed him in the last poll?

No? maybe I'll go with John Lennon. Yeah, that guy.

    • Thank you:). And yes, you can bring back Picasso, I'm sure he would appreciate not being erased from history:P. Poor Babe Ruth, though!

I do love John Lennon. It would be nice for him to make a reappearance. Oh, if only!

The candy world just wouldn't be the same without without Baby Ruth. Or the Goonies for that matter. What have I done!?

Oh no! You've done it again. Now I have two questions to ponder while I look out of the window. Second gold star for you.

Okay, after a lot of pondering I chose someone who I think could make a significant difference to the world. I chose a scientist who was a little bit different than other scientists, someone with a bit of a reputation for oddness but nonetheless, a brilliant and rare mind. I chose someone who doesn't think in straight lines, someone who might just be brilliant enough to think our way out of an energy crisis. I went with Nikola Tesla.

Also, selfishly, he and I had certain traits in common and I would liked to have met him and got to know him.
