    I think of marriage as a kind of business contract as opposed to just, "i love you" and "i love you too" i'd rather have it as i trust you and i trust you too. Lets put our names together and buy a house so we can stop paying rent and put money towards a mortgage instead.

    In my perfect world, i can be an adult and still "play house" with my bestest friend in the world ever without either of us having to feel like we are obligated to "love" only one person in the entire world.

    I don't like when the posts have a laundry list of titles for a significant other. I feel like the OP's could save themselves from carpal tunnel by just saying significant other.

    But to answer the question, no. I just can't even imagine the drama that must be involved it that could ever be worth it.

    Back in the 60's it wasn't that uncommon to have more than one girl friend at once, sometimes all of us living together. Different times; different (moral) values and no STD's.

    I imagine if I had multiple partners, they would serve different purposes and fulfill different aspects of my being. One might satisfy me sexually, another could satisfy me mentally, and another may be a really good cook.
