If you buy bottled water, what colour bottle looks most refreshing?

My bottled water comes in a certain colour of bottle (not saying which and invalidating this important research, naturally). If you could have bottled water in any colour of bottle, which would you choose as holding the most refreshing water?

Yellow 0
Black 0
Green 6
White 3
Red 1
Blue 61
Clear 37

Pale blue. Just that little hint of blue coloring in a clear bottle to make it look cool and fresh.

The only bottle water I get is Perrier which comes in a green bottle. The green makes me think of Paris for some reason. I just bought myself some Blk and while the bottle is clear, the water is black and a dark amber clolour depending on what angle you look at it with a light source. I'm probably starting to go a bit off topic, though. I guess the most refreshing looking is blue and green. I don't have much of a leaning towards clear bottles.

I wonder why blue was so universal. I mean, is there a brand of water that comes in a blue bottle and is sold in a country with lots of members on IIN?

I wrote this poll and expected different responses. I drink three famous brands of water which all come in clear bottles but my sparkling water (Highland Spring) comes in a green bottle not dissimilar to the Perrier colour but slightly lighter because the bottle is plastic. Also, I kind of wish there was a shop within walking distance which sold Perrier because I love the stuff.

I think you'd have to look into colour symbolism to see why its so universal. It makes sense when you start really think about it. Water is blue. Blue is considered to be a cool colour among other things. When I put the two together, it makes me think of a cold glass of water on hot summer's day. Its very refreshing:) Now that I think about it, there don't seem to be many drink bottles in my country that are blue. The only ones I can think of are; Propel (its a "fitness" drink), certain types of Dasani (like the flavoured kind), and I think Auqafina has a blueish tint. There is a sparkling water called, Saratoga, and it comes in a deep blue glass but I don't think its very well known. I don't know why more companies won't use blue bottles as opposed to clear ones. There's something unpleasing to the eye about them or maybe, its just the bottle design I don't like. Its hard to say:P

Perrier is fantastic and so is San Pellegrino. I make my coffee and tea with Perrier and it adds a whole new level to the taste factor. I used to use Deer Park for my drinks and since the switch I think the Deer Park makes it taste absolutely revolting.

You've just convinced me I'll never be an artist or poet. I never think of water as blue. To me, water is an ingredient in cooking, it's a solvent in a test tube, it's rain. And all of them are clear. I think my thoughts come from liking cooking, having a sciencey background, and living in a rainy city! :P

There are a few American TV shows I see where the water is always in a dark blue (almost navy blue) bottle. It looks odd to my eye, but odd in a pleasing way. In my mind, I always thought the water must be good.

I love San Pellegrino! If I want citrussy drinks from English-speaking countries, my choices are Tango and Fanta. They're drinking but they don't taste like oranges. They taste like the flavourings used in orange-flavoured things. For non-English speaking, I get to choose Orangina and San Pellegrino. They're so much nicer. Especially San Pellegrino. I've tried the orange, lemon, and blood orange. The blood orange you could tell was blood orange even with your eyes closed. It was lovely! It just tasted of fruit, and spring water, and fizziness, which is all I ask. :D

Clear or blue, it must be subconsciously ingrained. Sometimes i think i'd have been better off if i hadn't started drinking bottled water. I live in a community with great tap water that has fluoride in it and now its rare if i drink it because i prefer it bottled from the store

Blue hands down, because fresh water always looks blue *if it's clean* or...clear...it's all psychological.
