If you’ve been dating someone for a year

should you get them something nice for xmas? i’ve been dating my bf for literally a year now and xmas is coming up and he’s kinda cheap when it comes to presents. my birthday was a week ago tho and he got me some cute things. but is it bad if he doesn’t get me something nice for xmas?
