If the internet disappeared what would you do?

I'm pretty sure people would know how to create a new type of internet. It would just be a matter of time for it to be working.

Adapt, to be honest I'd probably be better off if it didn't exist. It's an addiction.

Well just over 20 years ago for the general public the internet wasn't used or available widely so for the generation that grew up with it it would be hard but for anyone else you'd go back to what you did before. This is a great question though because "going back" is harder than it sounds. So much is stored and transmitted electronically in commerce, education, etc..

Internet is certainly useful but too many people have made computers their life. Maybe the obesity epidemic would go away along with the internet.

There are alot more things to consider if this happened, the whole world would stop by 50% or more due to most of the organisations we rely on for food etc wouldn't be doing as much due to the internet being gone.

We would all have to start carying cash or checks again as there would be no eftpos or ATMs anymore.
If there was also no computers into the bargain I would quit my job as there is NO WAY I would ever go back to doing things with paper and pen.

I would probably go outside and do something in the garden or start taking long drives to the country and the sea.

If the internet just disappeared over night, there would have to be some kind of epidemic that comes along with it. If it never existed then TV, radio, news, hollywood, sex and drugs. Also sports.

Have to manage –here it goes off about once a day. I didn't have it before & I was OK. I was using a laptop for my schoolwork before everyone was obsessed with them. It was rubbish.

People still buy me notebooks/journals because I was always filling them up as a child, & I still love to collect them now, esp. if they're fantasy-themed. It was drummed into me to keep doing actual writing , because once I stopped I’d never re-start.

The only thing I’d struggle with is calendar making, because that's all done online, & the loss of my beloved Ents24 for tour dates. I suppose I could have venues' brochures, but it'd mean I'd be more likely to miss concerts because I wouldn't get the advance notice I need.

I use the internet to write and share stories. Before I had my laptop, I had to hand write it. I have about a hundred pages handwritten. Not fun.

I know spending too much time on the computer and other forms of technology can stop you from getting a life and seeing the outside world and it's better to socialize with somebody face to face rather than over the phone or on the computer (Athough technology such as Facebook and phones can allow you to talk to or make plans with somebody you might have lost contact with.), however I love the internet and it's something I find pretty hard to avoid as I'm on the internet just about everyday, when I'm not going out anywhere I'll spend the whole day on my computer, Some people live without the internet and they can manage but I think because I'm so spoilt with technology if there were no internet for me I'd probably go crazy, then again, it might help me in some ways, I could probably find other ways to entertain myself like reading, drawing or writing poetry, I'd probably be taking up alot more of my hobbies and have a lot more creativity!

Oh please! This world has turned into a fucking technology nightmare! People are fuckin obsessed with cell phones and tablets and the newest latest thing to keep you away from actual human contact fuckin computers and facebooking and hey everybody I just took a leak now I'm going to the store for some snacks so I can go back home and plop in front of the computer and not have a life outside the house. Disgusting.

probably spend more time in the library, on the phone, face to face etc. Maybe take up crocheting. It would do wonders for my attention span, I'm sure.
