If someone doesn't ever move their face to smile or frown

Will they have no wrinkles if they never make expressions?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

I don't think it makes a difference. You would probably avoid certain kinds of wrinkles for a while, but I'm pretty sure the skin just gets limp eventually. My arms and legs don't have facial expressions, but look at any octogenarian.

We have this supervisor at work who never smiles he always has a blank grumpy look. He looks like he has 0 emotion. He always wore this greenbay packers jersey like every single day. He would never shut up about football. Everyone would joke about how monotoned he was and someone taped a picture of him on the wall they got from his facebook where he had taken a picture with the greenbay packers and in his face was pure joy. He looked goofy he was so excited.. I didnt know his face had the ability to change. Doesnt sound that funny but it was really funny.

I've seen a couple of pictures of women who hadn't smiled/maintained a neutral facial expression for decades, and they didn't look any better aged than anyone else in my opinion. There was another woman who apparently constantly smiled in order to prevent forehead wrinkles, and she also looked her age.

Honestly, aging is unavoidable, unless you want so much plastic surgery your face is stiff and you don't look normal anymore. I'm sure there are some health risks associated with that much plastic surgery as well, and it always has to be maintained. I think it's better to just accept and embrace it, and just see it as having had the opportunity to live a longer life than many others who were denied that privilege. Besides, a life without smiling sounds so dull!

Wrinkles will still happen. Things like stress, lack of proper nutrients, a sedentary lifestyle, drug usage, improper use of sunblock, genetics, and the natural aging process are still going to get you. Ceasing to smile or frown ain't gonna do shit. XD

    • What if you're in a coma for 20 years would that person not get wrinkles LOL no stress no sun no lack of nutrients 🤔🤔🤔 or what if they stayed inside their whole life and didn't move their face at all only just drank smoothies

If they were in a coma for 20 years the muscles in their arms, legs, neck, face, and the rest of their body would atrophy at a quick rate since they're sedentary. Bone density takes a hit as well. They can take IV fluids and supplements but that's eventually going to damage their organs. The cardiovascular system also takes a hit from not moving too. I'm thinking they would not look pretty and pristine at all when they woke up. When the body is messed up internally it can affect how a person looks on the outside.
