If somebody offered you a modeling job, what would you do?

Me and my boyfriend we're having dinner at an Italian restaurant, and this gentleman approached our table and he asked me if I was interested in doing some Modeling work, and he said that it pays very well. I didn't know what to say, so I just told him to let me think about it, then he gave me his card and walked back to his table. It's a really hard decision for me to make, because lately moneys' been very tight for the both of us. My boyfriend suggested that I accept the job, but I argued that I don't feel comfortable selling my body for money and that it's demeaning. What should I do?

Accept the Modeling Job. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices. 62
Turn down that offer. It's not worth demeaning yourself. 21

Usually in modeling you have to have some lemonade with the manager before the photo shoots. And by lemonade I mean sex.

Be careful because people do this as a scam. They build up your confidence and get you excited about it and then comes the fees. The con artists will make you believe that they will get you jobs but you have to pay them to take headshots and screen shots first among other things. There is no job, the scammer is nothing more than a high priced amateur photographer and possibly a pervert.

I'm not saying this guy is a scammer for sure but be careful, it happens A LOT. Ask for references and jobs he's got for other clients and then most importantly CONFIRM all of it!! Confirm with any magazine, ad agency and so on. Heck even just google his name and see if anything comes up.

But if it's legit then only you can decide really. Just don't let anyone pressure you into doing anything you will regret.

    You talking naked? porn? sex?!

If just regular modelling i think you should consider, at least for a while (it's not like a job that has a future anyway)

Always check out the agency first. Look it up on online, try and find people who've modelled there if you can and see what they say.
Many modelling agencies turn into scams who misuse the photos of you, sometimes demanding money, or worse.
Take care if you do decide to go through with it.

As long as its not porn, and as long as they don't ask you for money then its not wrong. There is a way to be a model and not "sell yourself for money". But seriously if you dont want to do it. no matter how tight money is. Get a second job. Dont do what you feel is wrong. You might end up hating yourself and that wouldn't be good for your relationship at all.

Do the job only if you make more profit, then you put into it.And what I mean by that is if he's going to charge you anything for your photos that you take with him. Be careful, but take risks. Times are tough. Do what you gotta do as long as it's not too far fetched.

If a man approached me and asked me if I'd be interested in modelling, I would probably scream "Why are you being so HURTFUL?", punch him and run off crying.

u should have probably asked what kind of modeling, playboy, then no, something else, then probably yes

but the question of what i`d do, id assume they did as a joke/bet and were insulting me(as an overweight guy) and would ignore them

The man with have sex with you and then his friend will take some pictures of you that didn't get attention from their "customers", no pay for you. But, if you like to give head for fun this could be an opening for you.

I'm not against modelling but some people spend a long time trying to break into it as an industry so I'd be rather suspicious of a sudden and unexpected offer. Chances are he will either scam you or want you do do 'lads mag' style modelling.

Modeling does not mean you are selling your body. If it is pornography, then it can be taken as such.
But if you are modeling for a product (clothes, or even just being able to put out a photographers name)it is a business like any other.
